Elizabeth Parachini, LMHC
Elizabeth Parachini, LMHC Day Treatment Director has extensive training and experience working with women’s issues, particularly in the treatment and management of eating disorders in older adolescents and adults. She gained experience working in several levels of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospital and outpatient programs in which she provided individual, group and family therapy.
Elizabeth (Liz) has extensive experience in the application of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) having completed her internship at Two Brattle Center, a DBT- based day treatment center in Cambridge, MA. She has experience in the assessment of a variety of illnesses that affect the functioning and treatment of those suffering from eating disorders and co-morbid illnesses, including major depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma and personality disorders.
In her role as Program Director, Liz is responsible for program management, direct provision of clinical services, and the supervision of all clinical staff serving in the program. Liz works in collaboration with outpatient treatment teams and insurance companies and provides primary group leadership of the program.
Liz received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude with Distinction from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences. She received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University, School of Medicine.
